Kamiyada+ delivers on "LIVE FROM SPACE VOLUME 2"
If your not standing down - take a seat. “LIVE FROM SPACE VOLUME 2” is finally out and it doesn’t disappoint in the slightest. It’s everything you could want to hear from Kamiyada to finish up the year. The MIDNIGHT COLLECTIVE founder, Kamiyada, has been murdering beats for a few years now and this album is just another example of his rap prowess. As an artist, Kamiyada shows growth on this project, there are new and old flows alike, ranging from singing to raps over blaring 808s.
The first album “LIVE FROM SPACE” came out nearly two years ago, and since Kami has released several projects. This one follows in the style of the first but features more polished mixing and experimentation with his familiar sound. Staying true to himself, this tape is packed full, containing eleven songs each with an infectious loud hook and intense energy.
However, the end of the tape is a departure from his usual sound. Experimenting with boom bap rap, Kamiyada+ showcases his versatility and displays his prowess as a rapper and songwriter. 3AM is an intriguing track, an alternative rock song where Kamiyada sings and shows off a new side of him we rarely see. There is a unique feature by Billy Racx, who has one of the most refreshing voices I’ve heard recently, giving the tape a distinctive flavor.
Their is notable production from The Virus and The Antidote on track two and Suni Vega on track five, both featuring moshpit inducing hooks and “MIDNIGHT SOCITEY” tags. Kamiyada destroys the beat and merks every instrumental put in front of him on this project. Don’t miss out on this album: Kamiyada has the energy of xxxtentacion and the work ethic to become a breakout artist in the new year. If I was to give the slightest criticism to be fair, I would say I would have liked to see more features from his collective but I’m they will come out in time.
